Dr. Feelgood's second album and their American debut, Malpractice was represented a major step forward for the group -- for starters, it was in stereo. Add to that the fact that the quartet had refined its sound, so that it was a match for what the Rolling Stones had generated on their debut album, and you had the makings of a classic; Lee Brilleaux's lead vocals and his and Wilko Johnson's.
The song is played in the style of Hoochie Coochie Man and songs like that, so it's like a bar blues but you stay on the I-chord longer. There's a riff in the verse, I've written the chords but you can just play those notes to get it right.
the difference from down by the jetty to malpractice is quite marked, the feelgoods seem to have grown up, the music sounds sharper and the whole sound is much better, this is a good album to drive to, and when stuck in traffic makes things seem a whole lot better, out of all the tracks on here when you`re mine and riot in cell block number 9 are my favourites, also it makes me wonder why i /5(37).
